This stunning film gave me the inspiration and momentum in my life to explore other realms of consciousness through technology. As far back as I can remember I have been taking apart and building things, modifying,
conceptualizing, designing and constructing new circuitry, robotics and a host of other psybertech. This film is a MUST-SEE if you have not already and you are reading these words now. I HIGHLY recommend this flick to just about every human on earth with an IQ over 120.
Box says: The door to the mind is open! Natalie Wood, Christopher Walken, Louise Fletcher and Cliff Robertson star in the sci-fi thriller of the year! "A landmark movie!" (US Magazine) that takes you on a high-tech trip into a brave new world - and beyond! "From its dynamic opening credits to its equally stunning climax, 'Brainstorm' is a fluid, fast-moving film that brings as much excitement to the workings of the inner mind as an outer space epic!" (The Film Journal)
Imagine a machine that records sights...sounds...sensations, thoughts...feelings...emotions, even your dreams and nightmares. Then, at the touch of a button, transfers these personal experiences from one mind to another. Any person. Any experience. Anything you can imagine. Walken (of 'The Deer Hunter'), Louise Fletcher (of 'One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest') and Natalie Wood (ed: her last film before her death), have invented it. Tested it. Refined it. The military wants it - and they'll do anything to get it.
Directed by special effects wizard Douglass Trumball, 'Brainstorm' is a thrilling, exhilarating triumph - a film of awesome scope that reaches the outer limits of the inner mind. Brainstorm. The ultimate experience.
Brief director Bio: Douglass Trumball was probably the most inspirational person in my teens, and continues to awe in all I hear of his work. He has gone from film special effects to Location Based Entertainment, (if you're not familiar with the term, imagine a combo ride/film) and continues to push the envelope of reality. He was a consultant on the 2 Billion Dollar LUXOR pyramid in Las Vegas that showcases some fine LBE tech, 3-D IMAX films, and related technolust wizardry. More info to come on Trumball and LBE tech as we expand our
dedicated section in this exciting field.
