Dancer DNA is a fusion of Artificial life and music that generates stunning real-time 3D animations from any music source. When the publishers website used to be up, you could download new algorithms and trade species with others. Then you import them into the program, and it calculates stuff, then whammo, weird evolving aliens, bopping along to the music!
Unfortunately the publisher has apparently gone out of business, so unless you can snag a copy from a friend, you're out of luck! - Note: I purchased a retail version of this, some time ago, so we have it in our studio.
